30/08/10 Next weeks Monday morning has been so popular with you all that we are having a Monday Afternoon session too!
Our Try It - Make It workshops are a great way of learning a new techniques and having a play with a new medium all with the help of our tutors.

13/07/10 New list of Try It - Make It workshops now ready for you to explore
As normal, every Monday Morning and every 2nd and 4th Monday evening of the month sees a new and exciting workshop just for you. With at least 6 specialist tutors, there is something for everyone. Check out the list of sessions and don't forget to book!

26/06/10 Helen Domleo's silver classes will run in a 3 week block for July to avoid heading into the summer holidays. Morning and evening classes will begin on Friday 9 July and finish on Friday 23 July. Session will start up again after the break on Friday 10 September and will be back to the 4 week blocks. Enjoy!

05/06/10 This months workshops include Seamless Felt Vessels with Laura Mabbut on 19 June (think handbags and sculptural forms) and Glass Jewellery with Stevie Davies on 27 June. Call to book your place.

03/06/10 New work being delivered in anticipation of our next exhibition C h r o m a
Optical, emotional and aesthetic expressions of colour by artists using textiles, pigments, paints and light. Why not pop over for a glass of wine and to be the first to see work by numerous artists. Preview Friday 11th June at 6.30pm.

You can now book for the first series of morning workshops with Helen Domleo. Helen will demonstrate and guide you through metal and jewellery making techniques to enable you to develop and refine your own practice.

11/05/10 Change of date for your diary!!!
Due to the popularity of the Honeycombe Networking Meetings the group have decided to move the monthly meetings to the first Wednesday of each month.  Starting on Wednesday 2nd June 2010 at 11am.  Still the same great conversation, help and advice as well as mouth watering coffee and cake, all for just £2.50.

This annual festival give visitors the opportunity to see a wonderful range or artists, performers, gardens and events happen in the beautiful village of Draycott. Thank you to all those involved!

18/04/10 New workshops booked in for the 3rd quarter of the year. In July & September we will be welcoming Stewart Kelly to the gallery for off loom and sculptural weaving. Plus Helen Domleo will be running a full day workshop for those of you that can't make the Friday evening sessions. More info here.

10/04/10 We're getting close to Draycott Festival of Arts & Gardens. After the success of last year it will run again on the first Bank Holiday in May so there will be lots to do on Sunday 2nd & Monday 3rd May from 12 noon to 5pm. Take a look at some of the details - we are adding new information all the time.

Our new series of Evening Try-It Workshops are proving to be very popular. The first session in February was fully booked with participants enjoying a wonderful creative evening workshop - which included Coffee and Cake! The Wire and Bead jewellery techniques workshops on Monday 1st March is now fully booked as well, showing if you snooze you loose! Come along, see some fabulous craft texhniques and ideas demomstrated, then try it for yourself! Due to the amount of interest in Kate Bajic's Silver Ring Workshops we anticipate adding an extra date this year on Friday 16th October '09 (subject to confirmation). We are now filling a 'reservations list' for people interested in joining us for a two course meal followed by a fascinating talk. This promises to be a wonderful evening of good food and great conversation! To coincide with our 'Perfectly Natural' exhibition!
Places are limited to just 30 people so you'll have to book fast if you want to enjoy a beautifully cooked two course meal followed by a fascinating talk about handmade textiles and the reintroduction of natural dying in Turkey. We are participating the the Derbyshire Food & Drink festival (16th to 24th May) where we will be featuring extra vegan & dairy free dishes on our menu. At the opposite end of the spectrum there will be an icecream tasting session on Sunday 24th May between 2 & 4pm with Rosemary Brown from Bluebell Dairy. If you mention the Food Festival during this week when ordering, you can upgrade you regular hot drink to a large one for no extra cost!2/05/09 New Programme now available! We are currently collecting on behalf of Angelika Dennis for her workshop at The Beetroot Tree on Sunday 12th July. Shoe boxes will be used for making pinhole cameras - just part of a really fun day playing with light sensitive papers and basic photography techniques. Thank you! NOW WE ARE TEN Summer 2009 marks the 10th birthday of the Beetroot Tree. We will be celebrating with a birthday party fit for 10 year olds of any age!
We will post more details closer to the event but everyone is invited - just make sure to bring along your inner child.
